Ever since I took my first women's studies class at my high school, an adult learning centre, I have been fascinated with the ways women have come together throughout history to bring about awareness, change and support. When I moved from Vancouver to Sackville, I realized I wanted to make connections with women across the world and share our stories, poems and art with each other in order to be heard in a society that we feel tries to silence us. Cherry Bomb Zine was born out of these submissions in order for other girls and women out there to realize that they are not alone, and that there are others just like them also searching for a voice.
