Artist Statement:

I am a multidisciplinary visual artist working predominantly in the areas of drawing, sculpture, installation and painting.  My work deals with the exploration and interpretation of space: living spaces, including both natural and human-built environments, public spaces, common spaces, and even fictitious spaces.  My attraction to the structural and organic is evident in the exploratory nature of my studio processes - the merging of natural and found materials, handmade and manufactured objects.  When creating installations, I often use repetition and the production of multiples, usually the result of a physically laborious and iterative art‐making process. Whether I am suspending a multitude of dried lotus leaves or clusters of beeswax hexagons, I place an importance on the viewer's firsthand experience when encountering a transformative and immersive setting.
